Storytelling & Music in the Rainbow's End Children's Area

2023 SCHEDULE

All day Craft stations: costumes, fairy gardens, face painting, contests, stories and songs by visiting performers, and much more.
11:00-1:00 Registration for Kids’ Highland Games (ages 6-12)
1:30 Bairns' Highland Games, ages 6-9
2:30 Bairns' Highland Games, ages 10-12
3:30 Pin the Shamrock, Ruth Enlow Library Booth
4:00 Play preparation
5:00 An Irish play followed by a Parade with the Pied Piper
The kids are all invited to walk in the parade

  • Visiting bards and minstrels will wander about

  • Face painting

  • Faerie/Elf gardens

Craft stations are open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. where children of all ages can make crowns, headpieces, costumes, make an elf garden, and even learn how to make a kilt. Crafts are free with festival admission.

Plan to participate in Children's Highland Games (ages 6 to 12): toss the caber, hurl the haggis, help your team win the tug of war.
